The Star's Terez Paylor previews the Chiefs' season-opening game against the San Diego Chargers (noon Sunday on CBS). Kevin Acee, a columnist for the San Diego Union-Tribune, joined the show to give a scouting report on the Chargers, while Super Bowl-winning coach Jon Gruden joined the show to talk about what, in his opinion, makes Alex Smith a Super Bowl-caliber quarterback.

Love the podcast, and love the Chiefs! So, my question for you is...What's up with Dee Ford? Man, I liked the pick at first. But now, I'm really kinda of second guessing that thought. I haven't seen much of a push from him the whole preseason! He had a few plays that helped out, but nothing that actually stood out. Smh. I really like Dadi Nicholas, but he seems a lil too small to handle those tackles at this point. I love his motor tho. He can fly! Lol. But Dee and don't Zambo...I just wasn't seeing that fire off the edge. No real threat. Thas my main concern for the Defense. Providing that we get some heat comn from the ends, you know a lil pressure on the QBs...I see us going 12-4. Division Champs, AFC Champs, Super Bowl! We have the team, Andy is a great coach! The pieces are there. We just need someone to maintain until Houston is good to go. Holla at me and tell me what you think.

Terez ... awesome interview with Gruden. Every Chiefs fan in the universe needs to hear that.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The AS11 bashing has become tiresome. Especially considering what he has, in fact, done for this team.

    Warmest regards and respect,
